Tallulah Academy is preparing for their first  district matchup of the season  on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to  challenge the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams  at 6:30  p.m. The two teams are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Tallulah Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They were the clear victors by  a  9-2 margin over River Oaks on Thursday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Trojans.
 JT McDaniel and  Luke Moberley made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound,  McDaniel   kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Moberley   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At bat,  McDaniel  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs, while  Moberley  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Moberley has posted since back in February of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Charlie Vining was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Tripp Gayle was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
 Tallulah Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .622. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wilkinson County Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with  a  16-9 win. With that  victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
 The team  relied heavily on  Wesley Sanchez, who  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Charles Grezaffi, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 The  win  got Wilkinson County Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Tallulah Academy, their record is now 2-3.
 Tallulah Academy couldn't quite finish off Wilkinson County Christian Academy in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024 and fell  6-4. Can the Trojans avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
