While Midlothian Heritage's win against Crandall wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars skirted past the Pirates 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since March 1st.

Alex Miner looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Midlothian Heritage's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brennon Aguirre, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Cayden Campbell was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory made it two in a row for Midlothian Heritage and bumps their season record up to 17-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Crandall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Midlothian Heritage will head out to challenge Terrell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crandall, they will be playing at home against Athens at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
