Baseball Recap: David Crockett Pioneers vs. University Buccaneers
David Crockett lost against University back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The David Crockett Pioneers fell 11-7 to the University Buccaneers. David Crockett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nate Walters and Ronnie Hall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Walters scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Hall scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Jake Fox was another key contributor, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and a double.
David Crockett's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for University, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.
David Crockett will head out on the road to square off against Tennessee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for University, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Gate City at 5:00 p.m.
