Recap: Panhandle Panthers vs. Valley Patriots
On Friday, Panhandle lost to Valley on the road by a decisive 45-28 margin. Panhandle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Trinity Schlueter, who scored 22 points along with 6 rebounds for Valley. The contest was Schlueter's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Cruse, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Panhandle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Valley, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Panhandle will be home for the holidays to greet Lubbock Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lubbock Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while Panhandle is ranked 63rd). Valley is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Klondike at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th.
