Basketball Recap: Providence Hall Patriots vs. Uintah Utes
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-44, which was the final score in the Providence Hall Patriots's tilt against the Uintah Utes on Wednesday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Uintah can attribute much of their success to Angel Rios, who went 6 of 8 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Rios a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Ander Oldham, who posted three points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.
Providence Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Uintah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.
Providence Hall will square off against Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. Grand County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three contests. As for Uintah, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 74-42 loss against Layton Christian Academy on the 10th.
