Basketball Game Preview: Scott Beavers vs. Ulysses Tigers

The Scott Beavers will face off against the Ulysses Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott will be strutting in after a win while Ulysses will be coming in after a loss.

If Scott beats Ulysses with 53 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Everything went Scott's way against Cimarron on Tuesday as Scott made off with a 53-28 victory. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

Jackson Rumford was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards. Those 15 boards gave him a new career-high. Avery Radke was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Ulysses lost to Goodland on the road by a 62-47 margin on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Ulysses now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Scott, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
