Basketball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Valle Catholic Warriors and fell 67-19. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 565th, while the Warriors are ranked 224th).

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Valle Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Kingston has already played their next matchup (against St. Paul Lutheran/Valle Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Valle Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bourbon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
