Baseball Recap: Eau Claire North Comes Up Short

Eau Claire North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chippewa Falls Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

Eau Claire North's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Chippewa Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Eau Claire North wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-5 victory against New Richmond on the 9th. As for Chippewa Falls, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Marshfield on the 10th.
