Football Recap: Monache Falls Short of Coalinga in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monache can now relate to. They took a 30-15 bruising from the Coalinga Horned Toads on Friday. The Marauders' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Coalinga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyson Alvarado led the charge by rushing for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Alvarado didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Gracin Redding, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD.

Monache's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Coalinga, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Monache does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coalinga, they will square off against Templeton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Horned Toads' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 30.7 points per game this season.
