Baseball Recap: McDaniel Comes Up Short

McDaniel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Lincoln Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on Wednesday.

McDaniel's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

McDaniel has already played their next contest (against Caldera), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to take on Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Democrats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.82 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
