Santa Ynez came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over the Cabrillo Conquistadores. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Conquistadores, too.

Santa Ynez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Ollenburger led the charge by going 6 for 7 en route to 12 points and six boards. Jayden Mendoza was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Santa Ynez has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Cabrillo, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
