Volleyball Recap: Bristol Eastern Comes Up Short

If Bristol Eastern was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Windsor on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers came up short against the East Lyme Vikings on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in November of 2022.

While Bristol Eastern was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-13.

Savannah Drury paced Bristol Eastern's offense, picking up 12 kills. Drury got some help from Naseem Hennouch and her 25 assists. Hennouch and Drury didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Bristol Eastern has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for East Lyme, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-1-1.

Bristol Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Lyme, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Waterford on the 7th.
