El Cajon Valley dropped their record down to 28-6 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

As for San Dieguito Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since February 28th.
