 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dallas Jesuit had no problem doing just that  on Thursday. They walked away with  a   7-4  win over the Arlington Colts. The  victory was familiar territory for Dallas Jesuit who now have eight in a row.
  Dillon Brandt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Dallas Jesuit got a big performance out of  Taylor Haddock, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Jake Fults, who  scored three  runs while going 2-for-3.
 On Arlington's side,  Jeremiah Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Dallas Jesuit pushed their record up to 29-4 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. As for Arlington,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 17-14-1.
 Dallas Jesuit will have a chance to go back-to-back against Arlington: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday.
