Basketball Recap: Loyola Takes a Loss

Loyola suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2024 on Monday. They were dealt a 65-29 defeat at the hands of the St. Mary's Knights. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Knights are ranked 64th).

Loyola dropped their record down to 16-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for St. Mary's, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

Loyola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary's, they will take on Martin County West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in St. Mary's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
