Softball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss

The matchup between Willow Spring and Garner on Tuesday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Storm lost 14-7 to the Trojans. The Storm just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Jaiden Baker and Betzy Garcia-Molina did some serious damage despite the final result: Baker scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Garcia-Molina scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lynlee Ogburn, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Willow Spring's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Garner, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Willow Spring had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
