Volleyball Recap: Alcoa Comes Up Short

Alcoa was the 2-0 winner over Seymour when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Tornadoes fell 3-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday.

Seymour was led to victory by Isabella Hylan and Makenzie Warner. Hylan had 30 digs and five assists, while Warner had 19 assists and 12 digs. That's the most assists Warner has posted over her last 11 matchups. Loralie White was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

Alcoa has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Seymour, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11 record this season.

Alcoa will head out on the road to square off against Sullivan East on Thursday. As for Seymour, they will welcome Chuckey-Doak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
