Pine River Area strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Mason County Eastern Cardinals by a score of 4-1. The four-run effort marked the Bucks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sadler Mumby spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Kylee Mumby was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lilly Felsk, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Pine River Area pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mason County Eastern, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pine River Area beat the Cardinals by a score of 14-1 later that day.
