Preview: Socorro Warriors vs. Hot Springs Tigers
Socorro is 9-1 against Hot Springs since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Socorro Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Hot Springs Tigers at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Socorro is ranked 115th, while Hot Springs is ranked 132nd).
Last Thursday, Socorro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Cobre.
Meanwhile, Hot Springs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 52-28 loss to Hatch Valley might stick with them for a while.
Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Hot Springs, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
Socorro came up short against Hot Springs when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 46-39. Can Socorro avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
