Volleyball Recap: Ben Lippen Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hammond on Thursday, Ben Lippen came back down to earth. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Buford Yellow Jackets on Saturday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Ben Lippen's offense was headlined by Hannah Lyle and Gabby Bristow, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Georgia Kate Price and her 20 assists. Finally, London Rambert kept Ben Lippen's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Ben Lippen's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Buford, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Coincidentally, Ben Lippen and Buford will both be playing Aynor the next time they take the court. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Blue Jackets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Falcons will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
