Jefferson County dropped their record down to 17-16 on Sunday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans, falling 11-0. Considering the last time the Patriots couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Morristown-Hamblen West, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Morristown-Hamblen West's part, the result came thanks to Caleb Rodrick's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cody Blair, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That run was his first of the season. Bryson Shepard was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
