Basketball Game Preview: Central Wolves vs. Grand Blanc Bobcats

Central hasn't had much luck against Grand Blanc recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Central Wolves will square off against the Grand Blanc Bobcats at 7:00 p.m.

Central is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They came up short against Oscoda, falling 49-23. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Owls are ranked 156th).

Meanwhile, Grand Blanc posted their biggest victory since January 30, 2024 on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lapeer 63-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Grand Blanc pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Central was dealt a bruising 56-12 loss at the hands of Grand Blanc in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
