Soccer Recap: Harlingen Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hanna last Tuesday, Harlingen came back down to earth. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Los Fresnos Falcons who were credited with the victory on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Falcons are ranked 37th).

Harlingen's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Los Fresnos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Looking ahead, Harlingen will be playing at home against San Benito at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Fresnos, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Los Fresnos take on the Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Fresnos is facing Hanna at the right time seeing as Hanna is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
