Basketball Recap: Altus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Marshall last Tuesday, Altus came back down to earth. The Altus Bulldogs took a 55-36 bruising from the Classen SAS Comets on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Comets are ranked 124th).

Altus has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Classen SAS, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Altus has already played their next match, a 54-36 win against Elgin on the 8th. As for Classen SAS, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Del City at 6:00 p.m. Del City will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Classen SAS surely won't give up without a fight.
