Basketball Recap: Nuniwarmiut Takes a Loss

Nuniwarmiut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays 65-36. The Herders were down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Lewis Angapak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Friendly out in front who made all 8 shots she took for 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandra Stone, who made all 8 shots she took to post 16 points.

Nuniwarmiut's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lewis Angapak, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Nuniwarmiut does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lewis Angapak, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-33 loss against Akiuk Memorial on the 31st.
