Recap: White Knoll Timberwolves vs. Summerville Green Wave
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the White Knoll Timberwolves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Green Wave by a score of 21-14. The win was familiar territory for White Knoll who now have 12 in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Summerville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Yannick Smith. Despite the final result, he gained 176 total yards. Smith was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
White Knoll has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.5 points per game. As for Summerville, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-1.
White Knoll will take on Dutch Fork at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Dutch Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully White Knoll likes a good challenge. Summerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
