Hampden was the 31-18 winner over Oceanside when they last played one another back in October, but their luck changed this time around. The Hampden Broncos took a 40-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oceanside Mariners on Friday. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Zeb Foster continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oceanside, rushing for 231 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Blair, who rushed for 208 yards while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.
Hampden now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Oceanside, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.
Hampden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oceanside, they will square off against Hermon on Saturday. Hermon is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, so Oceanside will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
