Basketball Recap: Joseph Damian's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Katella over Savanna

Katella had taken Savanna down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Knights fell 75-62 to the Rebels. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Katella's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Damian, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 23 points. Zadot Reyes was another key player, putting up 18 points and three steals.

Katella's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Savanna, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Katella will head out to square off against Samueli Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Savanna, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Calvary Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
