Baseball Recap: Eastside Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Eastside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Castlewood Blue Devils with a sharp 11-3 victory. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Eastside pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Castlewood, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Eastside will take on Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Castlewood, they will challenge Rye Cove at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
