Soccer Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Irvin Rockets. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lobos couldn't quite close it out.

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Irvin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Mountain View will face off against Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Irvin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bowie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irvin's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
