Softball Recap: Cole Camp Blue Birds vs. Tipton Cardinals
Cole Camp won the last time they faced Tipton and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Birds walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Cardinals. Considering the Blue Birds' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Emma Thayer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kenidy Farnham, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Kaitlyn Whitworth was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.
