Basketball Recap: Salam Comes Up Short

Salam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 77-54 to the St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Salam of the 79-73 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Leading St. John's Northwestern Military Academy to victory were Wesley Chapman and Mamadou N'Diaye. Chapman almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds, while N'Diaye dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, N'Diaye is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of C.J. Tweh, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Salam's defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-20.

As of now, neither Salam nor St. John's Northwestern Military Academy have any future games scheduled.
