It was a proper cat-fight when T.R. Miller challenged Excel on Monday. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Madi Anderson, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Baggett, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

T.R. Miller's win bumped their record up to 15-19. As for Excel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Excel wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-3 victory against Hillcrest on the 5th. Hopefully T.R. Miller paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
