Volleyball Recap: Barrington Fillies/Broncos vs. Lincoln-Way West Warriors

Barrington saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lincoln-Way West Warriors by a score of 2-1.

Kalyn Brookbank paced Barrington's offense, picking up eight kills. Brookbank got some help from Eve Adler and her 17 assists. Ella Krull controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lincoln-Way West had a senior duo take command as Sophia Rozga had ten digs and three assists and Claire Murphy had four digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Murphy.

Barrington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Lincoln-Way West, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Barrington will head out to challenge Hersey at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Fillies/Broncos their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lincoln-Way West, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Hinsdale South on the 30th.
