Basketball Recap: Cascade Kodiaks vs. Tonasket Tigers
Cascade lost against Tonasket back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cascade Kodiaks were outmatched by the Tonasket Tigers and fell 71-36. The Kodiaks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Tonasket got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tanner Tompkins out in front who went 10 of 17 on his way to 25 points along with seven assists and four steals. Bradon Prock was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.
Cascade's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Tonasket, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade has already played their next match (against Waterville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tonasket will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Liberty Bell at 7:30 p.m. Liberty Bell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Tonasket likes a good challenge.
