Basketball Recap: Bishop Timon-St. Jude Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Bishop Timon-St. Jude walked away with it. They walked away with a 75-68 win over The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers on Sunday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 53-50 win on February 6th.

It was another big night for Joey Insera, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeson Huff, who posted 17 points.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why The Park School of Buffalo lost, don't look at Kamron Barge. Despite the final result, he shot 67% from the field to rack up 32 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Marque Sudduth, who went 9-for-21 en route to 23 points.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for The Park School of Buffalo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-43 defeat against Nichols on the 25th. The Park School of Buffalo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
