Basketball Recap: Clear Falls' Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Clear Lake came into Friday's match looking for another win against Clear Falls, but Kyndall King wouldn't allow it. The Clear Falls Knights skirted past the Clear Lake Falcons 39-37 thanks in part to King, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The contest was her 12th in a row with at least ten points.

Clear Lake's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kirsten Lippold, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks, and Carmen Evans, who posted 14 points and seven boards. That was a full 37.8% of Clear Lake's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Clear Falls moved to 9-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Clear Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.

Clear Falls didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-30 defeat against Deer Park on the 14th. Clear Lake has also already played their next contest, a 61-21 win against Brazoswood on the 14th.
