Softball Recap: Brockway Gets the Win

Brockway made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bradford, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Brockway never let Bradford get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rovers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Bailee Carberry tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Meeca Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rheanna Spinda, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

The victory got Brockway back to even at 2-2.

Brockway and Bradford will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Brockway will take on rival Kane at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bradford is set to face off against their familiar foe DuBois at 6:00 p.m. on April 2.
