While Crockett's  victory against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Crockett Cougars had just enough and edged out the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors  6-5 on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Raptors on their field since April 14, 2022.
 Emily Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Sadie Peyton was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.  Chloe Guilbeau also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Crockett is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7-1 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.7 runs over those games. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crockett will square off against Cedar Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on March 25th. The timing is sure in Crockett's favor as the  team sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Cedar Creek has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they will challenge Anderson at 7:00  p.m.  on March 25th. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8  runs per game  this season.
