Baseball Recap: Manchester Township Hawks vs. Neptune Scarlet Fliers
Manchester Township extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-15 in the process. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neptune Scarlet Fliers. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scarlet Fliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Manchester Township saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Boyd, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
As for Neptune, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
