Soccer Recap: Lockhart Takes a Loss

Lockhart lost against Rouse back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lockhart Lions lost 7-1 to the Rouse Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Raiders are ranked 18th).

Lockhart's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rouse, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which lines up perfectly with their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lockhart will take on Lehman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lockhart is facing Lehman at the right time seeing as Lehman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Rouse, they will challenge Glenn at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Rouse will come in with three straight victories.
