Softball Game Preview: Bay Rockets vs. Magnificat Blue Streaks

Bay is 0-4 against Magnificat since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rockets will take on the Blue Streaks at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bay lost 20-6 to Buckeye on Tuesday.

Caitie Petersen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Olivia Stehlik, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Magnificat was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Solon, falling 15-5.

Magnificat saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kate Hershey, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Magnificat, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Bay might still be hurting after the 17-4 loss they got from Magnificat in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
