San Tan Foothills hasn't had much luck against Leading Edge Academy - GEC recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The San Tan Foothills Sabercats will take on the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While San Tan Foothills didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Globe with a sharp 60-37 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sabercats.

San Tan Foothills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cienna Witcher, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 19 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. The game was Witcher's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alianna Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

San Tan Foothills was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Leading Edge Academy - GEC didn't have too much trouble with Phoenix Christian on Monday as they won 54-37.

San Tan Foothills is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.
