Andrew (Tinley Park, Ill.) 41-27 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Juwon Benson touchdown run in the first quarter, the Boilermakers led 14-0 at the half.
Bradley-Bourbonnais saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to eight entering the fourth.
The result came as a big surprise as the Thunderbolts came in ranked No. 84 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Illinois, while BB was ranked No. 141.
The Bradley school also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 31-21.
The defeat comes as a step back for Andrew, which notched a 49-7 victory over Thornridge in its previous outing. The victory was a step in the right direction for the Boilermakers, who were coming off a 42-21 defeat at the hands of Lincoln-Way North in its previous game. The loss snapped Andrew's three-game winning streak.
