West Anchorage extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-8 in the process. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dimond Lynx. On the bright side, the five- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Dimond, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For Dimond's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Ogee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

West Anchorage has already played their next game, a 16-5 defeat against Colony on the 10th. As for Dimond, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Bettye Davis East Anchorage on the 10th.
