Preview: Liberty Union Lions vs. Amanda-Clearcreek Aces
The Liberty Union Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Amanda-Clearcreek Aces at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Liberty Union focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Monday.
Last Monday, Liberty Union had to suffer through a rough 63-21 loss at the hands of Bloom-Carroll. While losing is never fun, Liberty Union can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Bloom-Carroll is ranked 38th).
Gabby Howell was Liberty Union's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Morgan Love held things down on the boards with five rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Amanda-Clearcreek beat Logan Elm 40-29 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Amanda-Clearcreek.
Liberty Union has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Amanda-Clearcreek, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Liberty Union beat Amanda-Clearcreek 60-48 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty Union since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
