Football Recap: Arvin Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Arvin gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 31-13 win over the Lindsay Cardinals. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 38-14 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Andrew Rosales had an outrageously good game as he threw for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 33 yards and one TD. Those 268 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Rosales was just one part of a punishing run game: Arvin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lindsay only rushed for 88 rushing yards.

Coming up, Arvin will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Shafter at 7:30 p.m. As for Lindsay, they are taking a road trip to face off against Morro Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
