Basketball Recap: McQueen Comes Up Short

McQueen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Spanish Springs Cougars 66-32. The contest marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why McQueen lost, don't look at Alex Grush. Despite the final result, he posted eight points.

Spanish Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Flint led the charge by putting up nine points. The dominant performance also gave Flint a new career-high in steals (two). Ja'Shon Ervin-Franklin was another key player, posting seven points.

McQueen's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Spanish Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
