United gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over the Minerva Lions. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Looking ahead, United will head out on the road to face off against Mineral Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minerva, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Crestwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
