Baseball Game Preview: Marlboro Central Dukes vs. Rondout Valley Ganders

The Marlboro Central Dukes will head out on the road to square off against the Rondout Valley Ganders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlboro Central knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rondout Valley likes a good challenge.

Marlboro Central is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Roosevelt just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Presidents by a score of 13-12.

Meanwhile, Rondout Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Saugerties.

Rondout Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Marlboro Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Marlboro Central couldn't quite get it done against Rondout Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can the Dukes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
